Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride is the anti-depressant
manufactured by Wyeth Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride has been
proved to be effective for treating depression in multiple double
blind studies and is similar in efficacy to Trazodone and Tricyclic
Anti-depressant Amitriptiline and Imipramine and was better
tolerated than Amitriptiline. The doctors generally prescribe
Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride based on certain required
pathological tests and examinations. The patient should tell the
doctor about allergy, if any, with the ingredients of this
medication.
Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride is the bicyclical anti-depressant
drug and is generally classified as the serotonin norepinephrine
reuptake inhibitor-SNRI but the drug has been referred to as the
serotonin norepinephrine dopamine reuptake inhibitor. The drug is
believed to work by blocking the transporter reuptake proteins for
vital neurotransmitters affecting mood and in turn leaving rather
active neurotransmitters in the synapse. Effexor-Venlafaxine
Hydrochloride works by restoring the balance of certain natural
substances in the human brain like serotonin and norepinephrine,
which helps improving certain mood related problems.
Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride is often used for treating
persistent weakness and infatuated uncontrollable disorders.
However, since Effexor-Venlafaxine Hydrochloride has been believed
of raising the blood pressure for a persistent period of time,
caution should be taken before using this medication without
physician’s advice. This drug may at times, cause severe skin rash
medically known as Stevens Johnson Syndrome-SJS. The drug should
strictly be used as directed by the doctor or strictly as
recommended on the product label for safer side. Effexor-Venlafaxine
is recommended to be taken orally with foods and preferably at the
same time everyday. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication may
cause some side effects.
